Emotional Health & Awareness Workbook – Printed Edition
A Guided Practice for Naming, Feeling, and Releasing What You Carry
You know something is bothering you—but finding the words isn’t always easy.
Maybe you say “I’m fine” because you don’t know how to explain what’s happening inside. Perhaps you react quickly, withdraw, or keep pushing through until your feelings become difficult to ignore. You want to understand yourself better and find a more thoughtful way to respond.
The Emotional Health & Awareness Workbook offers a gentle, practical starting point. Created by MC Integrative Wellness, this 17-page resource combines short educational sections, reflection worksheets, an emotion log, and a five-day practice challenge to bring more attention to what you feel and what you need.
Learn to notice your emotional experience
Begin with a quick check-in about how you usually handle strong feelings. Explore the importance of naming emotions more specifically and noticing the difference between a feeling and the story you tell yourself about it.
Use the 12-entry Emotion Log to record your feelings, dates, and intensity from 1 to 10. Return to your entries to reflect on patterns that may be easy to overlook in the moment.
Listen to the signals in your body
A guided body-scan instruction invites you to pause, breathe, and notice sensations such as tension, heaviness, or warmth. Practice observing your experience without immediately judging it or trying to change it.
Understand what sets off a strong reaction
Explore examples of emotional triggers and practice the S.T.O.P. method: Stop, Take a breath, Observe, and Proceed with intention.
The Mapping a Trigger worksheet helps you separate what happened from what you felt and thought. You’ll also identify what you needed in that moment—giving you something specific to reflect on after a difficult interaction.
Try simple practices for emotional care
Explore breathing in for four counts and out for six, gentle movement, humming or sighing, and the 5-4-3-2-1 sensory grounding exercise. These options give you practices to try as you learn what feels supportive for you.
The Awareness & Action Checklist brings noticing and caring together, with reminders to name a feeling, pause before reacting, check basic needs, journal, hold a boundary, or reach out to someone you trust.
Put awareness into practice over five days
The included challenge invites you to:
Name your feelings more precisely.
Complete a three-minute body scan.
Reflect on one triggering moment and what you needed.
Practice paced breathing.
Write yourself a compassionate letter.
Build your own next steps
The Building Emotional Resilience worksheet asks you to identify supportive people, places, and practices; recognize strengths that helped you through a difficult season; and choose one daily habit to continue. An Action & Notes page gives you space to capture insights and plan what comes next.
This workbook is for you if you want a manageable introduction to emotional awareness, with clear practices you can return to in everyday life.
Take one page at a time. Pause when you need to. Begin giving your feelings the attention you may have been putting off.
Start by naming what’s here today—and choosing one way to care for yourself.
