From Pain to Peace Workbook
A 6-Week Coaching Journey for Emotional Healing, Self-Discovery & Inner Peace
Sometimes the hardest part of moving forward is understanding what you’re still carrying. Old messages, relationship hurts, shame, grief, and the habit of putting yourself last can leave little room to recognize your own needs.
The From Pain to Peace Workbook offers a gentle, structured space to explore those experiences, practice self-compassion, and identify choices that support your well-being.
Created by Tabitha Newton, Certified Wellness Coach and founder of MC Integrative Wellness, this 37-page coaching companion guides you through six weeks of reflection and practical exercises. You’re encouraged to move at your own pace, pause when needed, and build support before approaching more difficult questions.
What you’ll explore
Week 1: Emotional Safety & Self-Compassion
Begin with “What Am I Carrying?” to reflect on the weight of responsibilities, relationship strain, grief, past hurts, health worries, and exhaustion.
Create a personal Safety Toolkit that identifies comforting places, supportive people, grounding practices, and reassuring words. A seven-day Self-Compassion Pause log gives you space to notice your feelings, practice a kinder response, and record how you feel afterward.
Week 2: Inner Child Connection
Reflect on your younger self’s joys, fears, beliefs, and unmet needs. Write a letter offering the understanding and encouragement you wish you had received.
The “Giving Myself What I Needed” worksheet helps you connect those reflections to present-day care, including opportunities for rest, play, self-expression, and feeling heard.
Week 3: Shame & Old Stories
Explore messages you’ve carried about yourself, where they came from, and the perspectives you want to practice now.
Guided questions invite you to respond to shame with the compassion you would offer someone you love. A symbolic release exercise provides space to acknowledge what you’re ready to let go of and what you want to make room for instead.
Week 4: Self-Trust & Boundaries
Use the “Small Promises, Kept” tracker to practice following through on manageable commitments to yourself.
“My Circles of Trust” helps you reflect on supportive relationships, relationships where trust is still developing, and situations where you need distance. A boundary worksheet gives you room to identify a limit and prepare what you’ll say or do.
Week 5: Peace & Personal Empowerment
Explore forgiveness on your own terms, including what it would mean for you and where you may need to extend compassion toward yourself. The workbook makes room for readiness without requiring reconnection with someone who hurt you.
Design morning, in-the-moment, evening, and spiritual peace practices. Then identify one empowered choice you want to make.
Week 6: Reflection & Continuing Support
Use the “Then & Now” check-in to reflect on changes in self-compassion, self-trust, boundaries, and inner peace.
Create a personal plan for practices to continue, steps to take when old pain resurfaces, boundaries to maintain, and people or professionals you can turn to. Finish with a letter imagining encouragement from your future self.
